The time has come for Okumura to confess his crimes! The Rhythm Rogues set themselves up to celebrate their latest success, but they still have no idea they’ve already been set up to fail.

Say hello to the next “Fefnir forgot to actually post the last update” double feature, in which we go on a mission to save Evelyn, then try to figure out what to do in the aftermath. I mean, technically we should be saving ourselves, but this is an open world game. The devs must have expected us to waste time.

It’s been a while, but Morgan is back in action! The fruits of her training haven’t brought her to Akuma’s level yet, but there’s a new DLC for us to play failing that. Months after the success of the Knock Out Festival, there’s another Knock Out Festival. Morgan will, of course, show off her strength and win this one as well. And wouldn’t you know it, there’s another King of Fighters character to meet this time.

Geo’s been on the tour of his school, but is he truly ready to return? Well, now that he’s had more life experience, it isn’t such an easy ‘no’ anymore. And besides, it seems like most everyone has his best interests in mind, so it couldn’t hurt, right?

After Okumura’s death, the Rhythm Rogues’ name continues to be dragged through the mud. Mitsuki continues laying as low as she can, though with police investigating the school that proves difficult. And in the meantime, it seems like all of her friends are having a bad time.

Training with Mai goes pretty smoothly, mostly due to the numerous blueberry shakes Morgan’s been drinking. So we’ve got plenty to talk about and plenty of moves to learn without extraneous grinding.

Geo’s first day of school went pretty well, so the next one should go pretty well, right? Provided nothing terrible happened that would put someone in a state of desperation that would attract an alien, anyway. And besides, Lyra was pretty cool, so maybe some of these aliens aren’t even that bad.

Thanks to Makoto’s position in the school, she and the rest of the crew are in charge of the school festival. Most of the students are clamoring for Goro Akechi to visit as the guest of honor, and oddly enough that may actually be favorable to the Phantom Thieves. As one of the only voices not calling for their heads, the teenage detective may be their best opportunity at getting information before the cops crack down on their Meatverse adventures.

Our training time with Mai is nearing its end. But before we’re done, we’ll be fighting a metric ton of ninjas! It has nothing to do with the Shiranui style, but it works as well as any other form of training!

Mr. Shepar and the rest of the students are on the line as Geo pursues Libra. He’ll have to think fast as well, considering how many quiz questions are lined up to kill him.

The Rhythm Rogues have begun to realize just how badly they were played. Maybe not from the beginning, but certainly from Medjet onward. Whoever’s working behind the scenes is tricky indeed, and if they want to come out on top, they might need to accept Akechi’s help after all.

… plus, he does have that blackmail. Can’t ignore that.

Boy, there sure is a lot of appointment-based action going on with our main missions. And since I don’t want V waiting in place for twelve hours, I guess we can work on some of our backburner missions.

Geo and Luna make it out of the school, but boy is it harrowing to the 'ol class prez. And believe it or not, this isn’t anywhere near the worst thing that happens to her this week.

Sae’s palace has been revealed, and the Phantom Thieves have made a temporary truce with Akechi. So since we’re here, why not get to know him a little better?

… oh, that’s why.

V continues her investigation, or at least as much as she can while waiting for her contacts to be available. And considering how much can go wrong even when stuff is set up, let’s just hope there are no unexpected developments.

Ophiuca’s snakes are slithering rampant, and quite a few people have suffered some nasty bites. Thankfully, Geo has obtained a Navi that can help pacify the Earth snakes. The FM-ian snake, of course, will prove more resilient than an air conditioner. But if Geo wants to save Luna, he can’t just let Ophiuca slink out. So, it’s time for Mega Man to save the day once again!

You know what time it is? That’s right, we’re going back to Mementos! After all, the Rhythm Rogues are in the mud thanks to the mysterious Metaverse killer, so what better way to improve their reputation than to solve a bunch of issues for people who won’t ooze a black substance two weeks later? Surely the public will turn around after that.

Some time ago, Earth was caught in the crossfire of an interstellar conflict. In a last-ditch effort to escape certain death, numerous ships were launched, carrying the world’s people to hopeful safety. Many were lost in the evacuation, but some managed to pull through. This is the story of one of those ships, the White Whale.

Humanity believed they’d found some peace as they scoured the stars for a new home. However, the reappearance of one of the alien armies responsible for Earth’s destruction was an ill omen, and has resulted in the ship’s crash landing. Whether they want to or not, the people of the White Whale were forced to rebuild on the planet Mira. And although they’ve begun building their new home, there’s still much to recover from the White Whale’s remains. One night, a woman named Elma finds a crash sight. Most of the pods didn’t fare so well, but thankfully one of the surviving ones contains our good 'ol amnesiac protagonist, Cross Rook Julia Emmitt. Returning to the city with a damaged memory and seemingly-little combat experience won’t be easy, but if anything that makes it a perfect crash course for life on Mira.

We’ve got sidequests to cover, but it’s pretty hard to get to them without running into the main plot. Someone really wants to show Geo just how fragile human bonds are, and will instigate fights between Brothers to do so. And what else can we do but find the source of these high tensions to put a stop to this? Well, we can take part in a quiz, at least. Y’know. Check off some boxes while we can.

Well, we’re just about done with this round of Mementos. Which means we get to play the usual game: how many of these missions are we actually going to follow up on once we get back to the physical world?
