Today, we enter the terrible Luigi domain. But just how do we get there? Something is holding Mario back, and after everything he’s been through there’s no way he won’t burn a few more bridges to reach the end.
The Phantom Thieves draw close to the end of Futaba’s palace. But once the puzzles are done, what other defenses will Futaba’s mind have to stop them from reaching the treasure?
… Because there’s no way this is going to be an easy job.
Morgan has been invited to the SiRN building by someone who can only be her good friend Bosch. How nice that he’s probably escaped Neo Shadaloo’s clutches and now wants to meet up for, I dunno, pizza or something.
We’ve reached the end of Futaba’s palace, and now all that remains is to steal her treasure. But given this is her heart and she’s not exactly what anyone would call evil, how exactly is this whole heist going to work out?
Good news! Terry Kingoffighters is here! Bad news! We won’t be seeing much of him this week because I couldn’t figure out how to find him! We also hit a pretty significant level wall pursuing a sidequest in the SiRN building. All in all, Morgan hit a lot of snags this week.
Mario continues on through Luigi’s domain. This time around, we’re tackling some tricky levels, so expect tons of crime today. You should also expect to be absolutely terrified by the very spooky blood we’ll be finding in the recesses of Luigi’s twisted mind.
Futaba is safe, but while she’s napping, we’ve still gotta worry about Medjet. And by “worry,” I mean assume that Futaba’s going to wake up on time and take care of the problem for us. Because Mitsuki is sure going to hang around like a big group of hackers isn’t two weeks from doxxing the entirety of Japan.
After last session’s little mixup, this time we’re gonna be finding, and fighting, Terry Bogard. And a bunch of King of Fighters fans in some uncanny cosplay as well. And when that’s all said and done, there’s still that high-level Shadaloo quest I have yet to bash my head against fully.
We continue on through the dreaded Luigi Zone, and today we find that Luigi’s realm contains a wedding, extremity, a guardian, and Phanto Tower.
Well, you know the deal: we’re still heading steadily towards Medjed’s deadline. We’re nearing the end and “definitely at the end” of some of these Confidants, though, so the storylines this time around are a little heavier. How ever are we going to survive these serious social situations?
Morgan’s been fighting for a while now, and as a result we’ve built up a bunch of points with various masters. So, the bulk of the day will involve going around seeing how everyone’s been doing. Also Andore. There is a strange abundance of large men named Andore. All related, of course.
Mario has crossed the world to defeat Sin Man, but in his travels he awoke a bitter rivalry between himself and his brother Luigi. Now, within the dreaded Luigi domain, Mario must settle the score with Luigi once and for all… for something that is, essentially, his own fault. But hey, why blame yourself when you can blame Luigi instead?
Yeah, you know the drill. Futaba’s still napping, so Mitsuki’s going to continue spending time with her friends. Should we be worried about Medjet? Eh, probably. But narrative rules dictate that things probably aren’t going to go wrong here, so we’ll only worry about this if we have to.
It’s been a while since we’ve attempted to tackle some of the stronger fighters hanging around the world, which means some of them aren’t as tough anymore. Some of them. And in other news, we also max out Terry’s style.
Turquoise Island is under attack, and only Nadine has what it takes to stop it! And the “what it takes” is “also being a robot like the invaders.” Does she share an origin with these guys? Well, we won’t find out today, because this is only a demo. But we will have a pleasant time traipsing through some of the first two worlds.
At last, Futaba’s nap is over, and just in time for Medjed’s deadline. So with another victory under the Rhythm Rogues’ belts, just what’s next on the schedule? Well, now that Futaba’s up and about, it would be rude not to get better acquainted with our new member.
Okay, now we can make some progress in Nayshall. At least until another DLC character drops into our periphery all of a sudden. I mean, how can I say no to a new moveset?
It’s been a while since we’ve last seen that cabin in the woods. Perhaps not long enough for our protagonist, if the first run is anything to go by. But regardless, the Pristine Cut of Slay the Princess is out, and we’ll be returning to that cabin to see if we can not be a centrist this time. And if not, there’ll probably at least be a few new encounters along the way.
We now resume Futaba’s socialization training, already in progress. And once we’re done with that, our reward is… the beach episode? In a Persona game?! Uh… maybe we should have let Futaba stay a shut-in after all…
With a little bit of training on the side, we’ve nearly reached max style rank with Marisa. And of course, that can only mean one thing: we’re finishing our training with her instead of continuing with Nayshall. I mean, sure, things are really ramping up there, but we have to make sure we’ve got all of our Punch Wife’s moves!
