Mario gets invited to Princess Peach’s party. How nice. : )

… We regret to inform you that someone has landed on the Bowser space. Bowser is also immortal today.

Dahlia’s business continues to grow, and we get access to a new store! It’s not the one I want, but we’ll get the goth store eventually. For now, it’s time to plan a fashion show.

Bowser seems mostly unconcerned with Mario’s survival, but the plumber’s going to keep moving anyway. And thanks to the arrival of a new friend, it seems Peach has a way to help a little from where she is in captivity. And since Mario didn’t even start with timed hits this time, it seems Mario will need the aid.

Toal’s tower climb is interrupted by the interference of a boss that’s particularly effective against Toal’s tool kit. And once he’s done with that, a certain question must be asked: with so little of the tower left to search, how long can Toal keep his ruse up?

The fashion show is on, and the theme is: being cute. Apparently, certain members of the show stick very rigidly to one style. Foolish as that certain person may be, other participants know there’s more than one way to stick to theme.

Koopa Village is in trouble! A large group of Fuzzies has decided to run rampant and steal everyone’s shells! And considering Mario was told he’d need to find someone with a blue shell before taking on the Koopa Bros, it seems like he and Goombario will need to take care of this problem first.

It’s a busy day for Dahlia as everyone wants to hang out with her all of a sudden. But with plenty of opportunities to buy new clothes, new shops are also unlocked just a bit faster.

Mario and his team continue on through the Koopa Bros.’ fortress. Just what do these dastardly turtles have in store to stop the Bob-ombs’ revolution and Mario’s heist? Cannons. Many cannons. Also, an arts and crafts project.

Toal has reached the final floors of the tower, but a number of foes still await him on his final ascent. Including one that nobody was really expecting, and nobody particularly wants to see him anyway.

Well, that goth shop has been unlocked. I guess we’ll just… sell clothes? That are more on-theme for Dahlia???

Mario’s back in Toad Town! Before moving on to Mt. Rugged, though, why not see what the city has to offer? The city, and also its sewers, for some reason.

Alright, now we can move on to Mt. Rugged. Mario’s going to have his work cut out for him reaching the desert, though, as this mountain is home to some fierce new enemies. Also, the mailman needs help, and we can’t move on until we fix his grievous mistakes.

We attend the second fashion show, with a bit of a last-second outfit to boot. But Dahlia never dresses badly, so it’s not a problem. What is a problem is Sophie’s sudden disappearance after we fail to have enough supply to give her an outfit. On the bright side, the only downside is that we have to put off a party with Ricky, so maybe it’s a blessing in disguise.

Today, it’s time for: desert. Do you need to explore the whole thing? No, absolutely not. Do I? Yes, absolutely.

Now that the main story is finished, we take some time to look at the arena mode. There is some grinding involved, which is why this is actually two streams stapled together. But once you put some time in with the three protagonists, you should have enough points for Adol. Thank whatever time shenanigans brought him here, because it turns out he’s pretty good in a fight.

After a lengthy trek through the desert, Mario has found himself at Dry Dry Outpost. Someone somewhere knows the secret to getting to the ruins that house the next Star Spirit, the only question is: what fruit will Mario need to find such information?

We finally get around to going to Ricky’s dumb party that sucks. Except the sudden arrival of Ricky’s sister means that the party actually goes wrong and it’s not just my usual disdain for the man. So now the fashion show might be cancelled because Adelaide has the raw nerve to not like fashion. Truly, there is no greater evil in the world.

Mario has reached the end of Dry Dry Ruins, but just who is this mysterious voice that keeps telling him to stay away? Why, it’s Tutankoopa! We can’t tell if he’s an actual Pharoh or if he just got that costume at his local Halloween store!

Keith is off to his first day as a journalist on Stiver Island. In what should be an exciting day for him turns out pretty badly, as a sudden earthquake throws everything out of control. With his way off the island crumbled into the sea, Keith has no choice but to rendezvous with a rescue party. The only problem is finding one at this point.

Now that we’ve actually managed to pick up an antagonist of all things, it’s time to… actually just continue on as usual. To be fair, it would be weird if they suddenly tore a gameplay mechanic from us in a fashion game made for children.
