On today’s chapter of Paper Mario, Mario has to finish up business around the region, which involves a lot of back-and-forth travel. Thank goodness for sewer shortcuts! But once that’s done with, it’ll be time for Mario to saunter over to the local haunted woods.

Keith and Karen continue trying to reach the rescue squad, but the ongoing problem of “the entire island is sinking” is continuing to be a pretty major impediment. Worse, though, is the fact that a mysterious figure with a gun has been spotted lurking the city for unknown reasons. Would Keith be able to stand up to a person with any kind of weapon? We all know the answer is no, so let’s hope they don’t meet.

At the end of Forever Forest lies a mansion, owned by the Lady Bow Mario was informed of. Despite the fact that the lady wants a meeting, Mario must figure out how to actually get to her first. Because apparently, ghosts love to cause mischief even when they’ve set appointments.

Today, Dahlia is forced to wear a lively outfit for the sake of helping the local photographers. But that means we have access to modeling jobs, so I guess we can let it slide this time.

Mario returns to the spooky zone after his detour to Toad Town. Although he and Bow are prepared to take on Tubba Blubba’s Mansion to find the monster’s weakness, it seems they were too late to stop him from gulping down one last ghost beforehand… and maybe one afterwards. But after that, I’m sure they’ll have a perfect record of saving ghosts.

Keith has escaped the construction zone and the fiendish plot to softlock him there. But rescue is still a ways away, and unfortunately it seems that not everyone can be saved.

By using divine seeing magic (the internet,) Dahlia now knows what must be done to save the fashion show: she must impress Adelaide. With fashion. But just what brand could some rich CEO lady even care about? Perhaps the answer lies in a store that has yet to open…

After making his way through Tubba Blubba’s mansion, Mario is mere steps away from discovering the weakness of the supposedly-invincible beast. There is one problem though: if it’s just the secret and not the actual weakness, what’s the next step after we find ourselves cornered at the end of the manor?

Karen’s route reaches an explosive conclusion as the K duo finds a dog and must search for a way to escape the subway. And with that finished, we can see what happens if we go down Greg’s path. Apparently, he just wants us to do his job for him if we do, so Keith’s gonna be on his own for a bit.

We reach the end of Style Savvy: Fashion Forward. After spending a little time with the Amiibo features, we finish preparing for the final fashion show.

Mario enters the Shy Guys’ Toy Box, in hopes of finding a solution to the rampant pranks and theft in Toad Town. Unfortunately, we’re greeted out the gate with one of the strongest Guys there is. Do we have to fight them? No. Will I do so anyway? Absolutely.

This time around, Keith actually manages to pick up the documents Greg had wanted moved. And with that done, we can conclude the Kelly-specific route with a sudden, but kind of expected due to the occupation, shift in attitude. And all that leads to a large chunk of city drifting down a river.

It’s the first stream of Code Vein! This being a game with a character creator, this first one is mostly just creating said character. But now we know what Rhododendron looks like, and that the world is apparently populated by zombie vampires… or something like that. Whatever they are, we meet a bunch who are real jerks, and now we gotta labor for them.

Mario’s journey through the Toy Box brings him to a new foe: a weird ghost who uses a baby to power a lantern, except he hates the light and doesn’t want the lantern to be too bright. Thank goodness nobody told this man about glowsticks or we wouldn’t have won this time.

Keith’s opportunities to escape keep drying up, especially thanks to some poor circumstantial timing. Worse yet, it seems Albert and his goons haven’t yet left Stiver Island, and they’re intent on silencing Keith for good. That’s just what happens when you hear something terrible.

Rhododendron and Oliver begin their search for Blood Beads. A whole load of Revenants lie in wait for them, and it turns out someone isn’t careful enough about protecting his mask. Thankfully, a kind stranger arrives just in time to pick up the slack.

The Shy Guys have been defeated in their home toy box, which means Mario is somewhere out there wandering in circles because he has no clue where to go.Thankfully, Peach and Twink are on the case, and this time around helping Mario may give them a little more freedom in their prison.

We’ve reached the end. There’s not a lot of Stiver Island left, but today we’ll learn why its construction failed so severely. And, unfortunately, tragedy strikes before we can be free of this disaster.

There’s a little business to be done around Toad Town, but afterwards it’s time to figure out how to get to an island no boats are going to. Well, perhaps we’ll get some help from a local tuna- er, whale.

Today, we learn that throwing around Ichor is very strong, as we try to take on Oliver again. And with that, we meet new people and gain an actual, tangible goal. We can look forward to Rhododendron ruling over us all saving humanity from a big fog, or something like that.
