During the section when the flashlight goes out, there’s supposed to be a prompt to tap the controller against your hand to get it working again, at least temporarily. Don’t know why it didn’t appear this time.
I think it’s less that and more they don’t have the time to seriously work things out. Plus both of them do get a kick out of this stuff. Elena was a warzone reporter.
“the arms that embraced me”
“They’re gone. No one must know of our undead pyrate utopia.”
And here I thought I’d already had my fill of handsome adventurers seeking out brothers for the day!
I would play the hell out of a Nathan Drake: Guidance Counsellor game.
Couldn’t Nate’ve just let his rope down?
Nate and Elena would have had to have some kind of adventure to fix their relationship regardless. There is no way a normal counselor would be able to deal with the things they’ve gone through.
God, No Escape is probably my favorite fight in all of Uncharted. Especially paired with this particular music cue. Not only is it extremely fun to play, but I think it’s the fight that best captures the against-all-odds swashbuckling derring-do of the series. It really makes you feel like you’re fighting for your life in a desperate situation and I love it.
I was hoping beyond all hopes that we’d get “one of those” and then we did. So awesome. Only wish they played with throwing your rope around a bit more with it.
I think that rope was made specifically to be used on grapply points and enemy skulls and nothing else, so any attempts to use it for things like friend-climbing will just result in them phasing through it like Sam did earlier in the video.
Man, I love Jaws-Truck both times it appears as a set piece in this game. I think part of what makes it so effective is there is zero bad guy commentary when it appears. Every other fight in the game you’ll get “Drake is here, get him!” or “Flank him!” or other generic combat dialogue.
But the moment the truck shows up it’s just squealing tires and loud, angry engine noises. There’s no shoreline goon using a loudspeaker to gloat about how he’s gonna crush Drake so good. Just a machine trying its hardest to kill you.
lawd, tintin is so good. i need to rewatch this movie soon.
also SAM >:C
Ironicus mentioned how many people had to have passed the trials, and I wonder if the trials were just to be a founder instead. Like you had to be the best of the best pirate, and everyone else gets to live there to be betrayed eventually.

That said it’s not unwanted, you guys are fantastic and can’t wait to see how this game ends.
I missed the “port town” line when I played through lol. The scale of Libertalia is so over the top ridiculous nutso kookoopants insane. The true supernatural force must be what erased the memories and paperwork of the thousands of workers, laborers, merchants, etc. involved in the life of the thriving metropolis of Libertalia
“Oh yeah I know where that is, I brought a galleon full of party ducks there every spring.”
Also Chip being cagey as a Dungeon Master all the times Ironicus bemoans the lack of swordfights.
I remember Chip tweeting the LP had 25 episodes, but by the end of the last one I had the feeling a lot was left.
But since the last episode has at least 85 minutes…
Guess we are in for a ride
