Week 60: HELLFIRE

It’s getting exciting! This show we’ll see the rest of the Tournament. Round 3, or The Hateful Eight as I like to call it. Then The semifinals wich uh… let’s go with “Deadly Four” and at last the Finals. Now, who will make it to the finals this time is up in the air. Out of the four Round 3 match-ups only one has what could be considered an obvious winner. And even here we can’t be sure as Boob Marley made it as far as he did despite the odds. EGO and Lea stood in his way and he made it past them. But now he’s facing Suzan.

Meanwhile. Black vs. Flamander is probably a match you don’t remember happening but it happened on Episode 16 when Black defeated Flamander in 11:29 Minutes. No guarantee of that happening again.

Suzan Blades and Malfest Goat-Monster, on the other hand, have never faced off before. It’s impossible to tell who will win but my guess is it will be fast either way. The last time I said this the match lasted almost an hour. Let’s hope this isn’t the case here. Only in the interest of time, of course.

Finally, we have Arcade Legend ASS vs. Grace Thoruson. ASS defeatedPantha in the first round in a huge upset. Grace, in a similarly surprising way, defeated Freddie Hope. Now, people watching OHPW might not realize it but when we call Freddie Hope a legend we absolutely mean it. He saved the freaking moon once and Grace beat him. I’d put that on a level with defeating the former Hellweight Champion Pantha. Freddie, as a former LPFWA Champion and Saviour of the Moon (along with Flamander, they were different times) is equally decorated, if not moreso.

After that? Aside from the fact that there will be a Rumble featuring everybody who didn’t make it to the finals the card is yet to be determined as we don’t know who’s winning these matches above yet. But here is the card as it currently stands:

Suman just can’t catch a break. Gets his face eaten by Hobo and then Hobo wins too.

Flamander does the thing where he suddenly starts wrecking everything and beats Black.

Arcade Legend ASS vs. Grace Thoruson

Probably MOTY for me. Grace targets ASS’ leg all the way through the match and ASS retaliates with explosive offense. But it ends when Grace locks in a Modified Single Leg Boston Crab (The one we also call the Carbonated Footprint).

Harmony vs. Boob Marley

It shouldn’t come as much of a shock to hear that Harmony won this one but it almost seemed like this match was going to Boob for a bit when he kept locking in the Sunken Chest and other big moves.

Suzan Blades vs. Malfest Goat-Monster

I expected short but intense burst of violence. But it ended in a regular MGM. That is a cutter. It didn’t even come outta nowhere. It came from somewhere, clearly, and we all saw it.

Super Samio vs. VACANT

Samio makes sure to at least be remembered as the one who gave VACANT hell but in the end that’s all she did before VACANT overpowered her.

Scene: The Fun Gang come out and Vacation Skeleton introduces their new member: Fomore. Then The Dashes enter and Dashosphere taunts Fomore and demands to face Vacation Skeleton. Fomore denies this and attacks. E1M1 starts playing. Sometimes RNG is great.

This must have been very disappointing for Dash. Not only did he barely touch Vacation Skeleton he also lost.

Grace vs. Malfest Goat-Monster - She somehow pulled through, Grace somehow did it and defeated Goat-Monster. She had to pull out all the stops, though.

Flamander vs. Harmony - I could see this going either way. And it went by fast. Flamander defeats the Hellweight champ. Though, this was no title match, he is now eligible for one.

Grace vs. Flamander. I’m not going to lie. I didn’t see Grace make it this far. I thought Freddie would stop her at the latest. When that didn’t happen I thought okay, it’s gonna be Suzan or Goat. When that didn’t come to pass I thought, whatever, anything goes. For Flamander it was almost a foregone conclusion that he’d be here. At the very least he was one of the most likely contenders. So him losing to Grace Thoruson in the finals left me speechless.

And here’s the final standings.

There’s also gonna be stuff that isn’t singles matches. A big shock, maybe, if the Hellfire Tournament was your first time watching OHPW. Most importantly, some people who had to take a backseat due to the tournament get a chance to show what they got.

Explosion-chan pulled through and defeated both Suman and Midas.

This was almost cool. We got almost simultaneous pinfalls at the end. The Cluwne of the WNA was slightly faster, though.

Scene: IGgy commences the ceremonious handing over of a piece of paper to Grace for winning the Hellfire Tournament. Grace immediately makes use of her prize and challenges Harmony for a match at the next PPV.

#3 Singles Match
Family Man vs. Cocademon

Go Family Man! But Oh no, what’s this, the brand is stronger than one man! Maybe one day we can live in peace but now Cocademon wins.

#4 Hardcore Three-Way
Kelsey Slaughter vs. Florida Man vs. Agnes Paragon

Agnes wins this match between Kelsey and Florida Man by smothering Kelsey to the point of her passing out. Brutal.

#5 Singles Match
Muscle Wizard vs. Roy

If only Roy would have brought out the 1% crit. He might have won. But Bigdawg’s Clenched Fist made him stay down for the 1-2-3.

Well shit, Pantha vs. VACANT. The first time was under VACANT’s ruleset. Now it’s a regular match which one might guess is to Pantha’s advantage. It is. But she still loses. VACANT’s fifth successful defense. And they defended it against one of the best.

The Fun Gang vs. Team Skull

The stakes were higher than one might initially think. Because a Fun Gang victory would mean that Fomore held every title. Too bad that didn’t happen. Team Skull win once more. This is their sixth successful defense.

Week 62: Antagonize Me

In the week previous, perhaps the most noteworthy thing that happened was that Grace Thoruson, immediately after receiving her Blank Contract, decided to “cash it in” and challenge her Tag-Team partner and Friend and also current Infernal Hellweight Champion Harmony Gray to a match At Doom’s Gate 2020.

This week we’ll see Grace trying to take on 2 opponents. A Mimic and N-T Punk. We’ll also see one of our three Young Devils, Tara McFly ting against Harley Havik. Now, this isn’t Tara’s debut, we’ve seen her way back when team Freddy went against the oRa 66 and Sexton Thicc (no relation to Ricc 2 Thicc) received a Galactic Elbow to the ASS post match. Rude af.

This match turned surprisingly good when Robutt smashed Suman’s head into a toaster with the Tokyo Thunderwave of Death 20XX for the win.

#2 Three-Way (First Fall)
Grace Thoruson vs. A Mimic vs. N-T Punk

Going into this everybody believed that the woman who won the Hellfire Tournament of 2020 would emerge victorious from this match. They believed right.

Scene: Palpy talks to the oRa to make sure they are no longer on strike. He gets an unclear answer and decides to go ahead with his plan to “antagonize some fools” so the oRa 66 can come back next week in a big way.

#3 Singles Match
Tara McFly vs. Harley Havik

Tara showed some fighting spirit but was defeated. But every misstep is a learning experience. This Young Devils are the stars of tomorrow.

#4 Singles Match
Steve Dirt vs. Plumeria

Plumeria did all of Steve’s big moves on him. Some of these big moves we haven’t even yet seen from him. So he decided to do his finisher, the Bloody Cross on the outside and wait for Plumeria to get counted out.

#5 Tag Team Match
SHA-MO vs. Fallout Boys

Great match slightly skewed towards the FOB due to the addition of Matt on the outside. You might still argue his interferences didn’t amount to much but the FOB did win the match.

Scene: Palpy “antagonizes some fools” and by that I mean he’s going up to Criminal Sanity and “goads” them into a match next week.

#6 Vacant Bunny Challenge :3
Arcade Legend ASS vs. VACANT

ASS really puts her soul into this. Fighting and fighting hard. But VACANT crushes her dreams by simply having her be counted out. Which makes this the second count-out of this show. Damn.

#7 Underworld Darkweight Title

This is a rematch from the Hellfire 2020 Tournament. Where Boob defeated Lea to advance to the third round. So the big question was, can he do it again? And how many Sunken chests would it take? The answer was yes, but not without a fight and it only took one (1)

As we prepare for AT DOOM’S GATE 64 Suman attempts to rid himself of the Jabroni Royle once more and his chances seem better than ever. #4 Singles Match
Grace Thoruson vs. Canada Alderman

If I actually had my bingo sheet up this would have filled the “Main Event level undercard match” square. Grace defeats Canada in her final match before her bout against Harmony. Grace is now on a winning streak of eight matches. The only other people currently on a streak like this are the Team Skull Grunts.

Scene: The Fun Gang have a fun get-together backstage when the Dashosphere appears once again to antagonize the entire team. He challenges all the members to one on one matches, starting with Fomore. If he can beat them all he’ll finally face of in a climatic showdown against Vacation Skeleton, who has no idea what’s even going on.

#5 Chaos Tag Team Match
oRa 66 vs. Criminal Sanity

Right at the start of the match Angus, Mina and Josef abandon Palpy, leaving him to the wolves. Palpy fights back for a bit but he can’t hold out for long.

Scene: The Union is heading back to the locker room when they are approached by N-T Punk, requesting to join the Union. And so they were four.

#6 VACANT Bunny Challenge :3
Florida Man vs. VACANT ©

Wow, Florida Man shows what he’s made of. Taking all the sick bumps and starts bleeding, still goes on for a while before staying down. VACANT, however, retains.

Scene: Palpatine is dragged in front of the promo wall by Cocademon. Palpy then condems the actions of the vile Union. Though, I’m surprised he’d still remember anything that happened. He challenges the Union to a 2 and 4, foolishly. But then Malfest Goat-Monster shows up and chews Palpy out, announcing he’ll make a one time exception of accompanying that fool into battle.

This match had it all. Chaos. Moves. Wrestlers… that moment where we all thought maybe DCB can win against Ricc 2 Thicc… and then she won against Ricc 2 Thicc! Becoming the new and two time Seven Deadly Pins Champion. Or the Deadliest Pinner.

Especially not after this has happened multiple times to the same person. Maybe the cycle of Palpatine will end now that he’s an employee and he can see how it is to work under a shitbag boss and turn face.

And oh right, the Custom Parts DLC is now out which is why you’ve seen the actual Danger Spider logo on Grace. Mr. Shakedown will also finally have a hat for his next appearance (Both thanks to PublicOpinion, who also made the OHPW logo)

Now making these is still kinda hard as it requires one to create full sprite sheets for each part so don’t go around requesting special parts from me or anything. But if there’s something specific you’d want on a character of yours let me know, I won’t make it but I’ll keep an eye out for something that lets me accomplish it.

Plumeria (“c”) vs. Weeb Weaver

As we get closer and closer to 15:00 Minutes, when the ring explodes we all just assume that’s how it’s gonna end. But with only a few seconds to spare Weeb submits Plumeria.

#2 Seven Deadly Pins Battle Royal

This one went surprisingly long. DCB, Koji and Hayley were the final three. DCB was the first to be eliminated out of those. Koji and Hayley fought but after almost 40 minutes it was Koji who fought out a win.

Scene: Steve Dirt invites Family Man for drinks. That’s basically it.

#3 Singles Match
Austin Ramon vs. EGO

I didn’t expect this match to be as good as it was. It’s one of three on this show that I put on the Highlights list. The “story” going into this is that a couple weeks ago EGO used Austin’s finisher on him before he could ever do it. Big dick move. EGO locked in the Double Black Label on Austin AGAIN but this time not to end the match. They fought on and Austin eventually defeated EGO

#4 Handicap Match
Goatcorp. (Palpatine, Cocademon & Goat-Monster) vs. The Union (Angus, Mina, Josef & Punk)

Even though this is a handicap match I’d argue that in a 3v4 match-up that goes first fall to a finish the advantage from one more person is negligible. However, the team with the numbers advantage won. N-T Punk of all people pinned Palpatine.

#5 Singles Match
Family Man vs. Mr. Shakedown

I’m not gonna lie. This was kind of supposed to be a palate cleanser. The piss-break match were Family Man fans (everyone) could stay and watch. The rest could go grab snacks, relieve themselfs. That kinda stuff. Just a fun little intermission. But as it turns out, this PPV didn’t let me have ANY of those. It started fairly normal, aside from the fact that Family Man was in his underwear, but after about ten minuts of getting beaten down. Family Man just started popping off. Did the Orange Cassidy Dropkick, a sick Rana that almost went outside. Airplane Spin into an F5, Cocky Pin, kickout. It went on high energy like this for a while longer. But ultimately you don’t just win against Mr. Shakedown. This is the second of three highlights on this show (according to me)

#6 Singles Match
Fomore vs. Dashosphere

Although not supposed to be a palate cleanser I didn’t really think all the matches on the card except for the first one would go over 20 Minutes. This one almost broke 30. Dash is on his quest here to defeat all of the Fun Gang, ending it with Vacation Skeleton. And Dash somehow didn’t submit even though the match ran long. Fomore debuted their new finisher, but kickout. Several times. It took a while for Dash to wisen up and use a move that doesn’t directly transition into a pin near the ropes. He used the Outrunner for the 1-2-3 and wins. His quest continues, for now.

#7 Legion Tag Team Championship

Oh man. Pineapple Pizza were the ones Team Skull one the titles from originally. And they then successfully defended it six times. And here we are. Pineapple Pizza kind of surprisingly win the match. I say this even though they were champs before but against the Team Skull Grunts, somehow, it seemed unlikely. But finally, new (old) Tag champs!

#8 Underworld Darkweight Championship

Another one that was supposed to be a palate cleanser. I thought Flamander would murder Boob in cold blood. But naaaah. Not only did Boob make Flamander work up a sweat, he also defeated him.

#9 VACANT Bunny Challenge :3
Black vs. VACANT ©

This one however, I didn’t know what to expect. I mean, I know Black beat VACANT before, quickly and convincingly. But this was a different ruleset, perhaps to the advantage of VACANT for once. And they fought for a long time until Black whipped out the Blackout and VACANT stayed down for the 1-2-3

Scene: Grace and Harmony were interviewed separately from each other. This is the footage from this interview. The two friends go over their thoughts and talk about their preparations for this match.

#10 Infernal Hellweight Championship

Look at how far we’ve come. It wasn’t TOO long ago when I gave away Grace vs. Harmony as a kind of throwaway match on a weekly episode. Actually. That is very long ago. It was on Episode 5. We’re now on Episode 64. Harmony won that one in 16:51. Next they faced in the Dodecagon of the Showdown Tournament on Episode 21. Harmony knocked out Grace in 7:15. I assume they’ve faced each other outside of OHPW too. But in OHPW Harmony’s got two up on Grace. But the stakes have never been this high and Grace never ran this white hot. Winning the Hellfire Tournament and everything. Harmony, in the meantime, proved to be a champion worthy to carry the Infernal Hellweight Title. In the match we saw moves from both that we haven’t seen before. They really did go all out. In the end Grace locked in her signature modified single-leg Boston Crab (that we also call the Carbonated footprint). I guess that one needs a fancy name with the word Grace in it now. Because not only did it win her a couple matches in the last few weeks, but also this one. We got a new champ.

Dashosphere managed to defeat Fomore last week and is now out for DCB, if he can beat her he’ll still have to go through Nawt a Robutt before he gets to face Vacation Skeleton. As the agreement is, if Dash can defeat all of the Fun Gang in singles competition, Vacation Skeleton will pretend to know why they’re supposed to be mad at Dash.

Woah, this got bloody quick. Loved it. And there was an explosion too! Both stayed down.

#2 Singles Match
Sexton Thicc vs. Vacation Skeleton

This went about as expected. Sexton got some offense in, Vacation Skeleton got all his shit in and won.

#3 Tag Team Match
1 1/2 Dragons vs. Lawful Good

The Dragons were the clear favorite going into this match. However, some smart play from Lawful good secured them the victory.

#4 Singles Match
DCB vs. Dashosphere

DCB went nuts in this one. But it wasn’t enough. Dashosphere takes the win after an unexpectedly long battle.

#5 Bunny Championship :3
Austin Ramon vs. Black ©

Shockingly, with his submission prowess, Austin stays in control for a long time of the match. However, Black hitting hard throughout the match here and there is what made the difference. Black retains.

Scene: Suzan comes out and challenges Grace but then Shakedown comes out and challenges Suzan.

What a clusterfuck. I mean, I say this about every 7DP match. But at around the 20 minute mark someone had to use the fight forever chant… at least we didn’t go an hour. Shock and horror, though, Guzma won.

Week 66: Six

Manic currently has the best gimmick: A losing streak. Six matches so far. Today he’s up against Young Devil Hank Muscles. Surely a freebie? Well, Hank did win his last match against a main Roster wrestler. It was a count-out but a win is a win.
Danny V5 gets to show what he’s about in a match that isn’t a Clusterfuck. We’ll also have Suzan vs. Mr. Shakedown. It’s been very long since they last faced. It was in the middle of Suzan’s Hellweight Reign, way back on Episode 12 - AT DOOM’S GATE (not 64) and Suzan retained that day. But that was a long time ago.
Also: Punk gets to die. Or is he? He did join a union, after all.
And in our Main Event we got Lawful Good challenging Pineapple Pizza for the Legion Tag Titles.
