@Scruffy I am ashamed to admit this, but despite my love of the original Mad Max movies, I have yet to see Fury Road.
You can do it, I believe in you!

Apologies for the delay. I got pretty sick and also had to deal with some shit over the holidays. But I survived! Mostly!
Boojam is a type of tree, endemic to Baja Peninsula. It’s Spanish name is Cirio meaning Taper or Candle. The name Boojum is a reference to Lewis Carrol’s The Hunting of The Snark and was assigned by Godfrey Sykes of the Desert Laboratory in Tuscan, Arizona. It can grow to a height of @ 70 feet and reach a circumference of 9.5 in.
I find it weird that the phrase ‘Steel Cajones’/‘Brass Balls’ wasn’t chosen because 1) these people like all things to do with metal and/or vehicular and 2) people would know what Jet is talking about, instead of Boojam.
how would jeet even know about a tree from cali? obviously he’s talking about the especially dangerous variant of a snark.
Who knows? I think the writers just chose whatever sounds like a ‘not-word’ without checking if it’s actually a word.
I think it’s probably the snark one. Who knew Lewis Carrol would be so influential in the wasteland?
The more I think about the waters receding, the more I wonder if the world of Mad Max is flat and the Antarctic ice wall broke down, causing all the oceans to leak out of the sides into nothingness.
Seeing all the other stuff happening, I wonder if the world did it on purpose.
We take out a TOP DOG. And also I spend a lot of time gushing on Mad Max 2.
But seriously this doesn’t look like Mel Gibson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUi5Lo9SHTY

I can’t comment on the meaningless of dates and places in the infinite void of the post-apocalypse but I can tell you that Chumbucket certainly has opinions about Griffa.
Time for everyone’s favorite gameplay padding mechanic, minefields!
Also there’s some cool stuff that happens, I promise.
25: Let’s Go Rummage, Dog/Polsy
Timestamped last Griffa encounter, for reference. I got it last time, don’t know what went amiss this time!
Pig’N’Sticker’s camouflage paint job for the Magnum Opus 100% for sure makes it harder for enemies to spot you. Definitely a thing, sure.
Unlike the current president, this exhaust is good actually!

I’m gonna be on vacation for the next week but I actually have a few videos in the hopper this time. It might take me a bit to make a post update but I should still make some youtube releases on a regular schedule. Probably.
Righto! Back from vacation. I scheduled these releases piece-meal over the last week but here’s them in a batch if you’re waiting.

There’s some brief riffing on Beyond Thunderdome in this video, which actually holds up better than I remember. It’s still only 2/3rds of a good movie though. The entire return to Bartertown section is pretty meh.
My drunk, scattered notes on Thunderdome. I don’t remember what I was referencing in half of them.
beyond thunderdome
introduces blackfinger
aesthetics
characters are very strong
bartertown and gastown comparisons
fighting as entertainment
battle scene, practical effects
run embargo, masterblaster vs entity
sayings: two men enter, one man leave; bust a deal, face the wheel
music? odd addition, but strong addition
no thunderdome representation in game, aside from statue/fighting arena/raggedy man
gulag: horse in the desert with a flask of water
children with verbal tradition
left children behind, 2-3 generations later
disney traditions
mythology “come true”, a sign
The big race is upon us! Wooooo!!!
I also went through and grabbed every scavenging location, since I’m insane I guess. Here’s all the extra hood ornaments people haven’t seen if they only have base game, I guess!
