That battle with the .jpegs was sublime.
As questionable as those final bosses were design-wise, I was glad to witness the rotating bird death again. What a treasure.
Whoever made this would be right to say that the bosses in this game has no fewer attacks than most bosses in official games but those ones had a simple, clever trick called “not attacking on a loop”. There’s just no need to pay attention to these bosses and try to work out what to do because you already know precisely what to do long before it ever comes up. No “if it does this then I do this”, just “I do this”, constantly.
How was there a harder version of Lucifer when doing a no-hit run on him looks pretty trivial and there’s no damn way he was made to be any different in that regard?
