Big Boss is about to go nuclear in METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN (and Ground Zeroes)

Holy shit I’m gonna cry.

“Eleven years, the time between Operation Snake Eater, and the Ground Zeroes Incident. The time it took Big Boss to recover from his coma and send me to Outer Heaven. Eleven years after that, Nastasha wrote her book on Shadow Moses. It’s the time between Naomi’s FOXDIE and Sonny’s FOXALIVE. Eleven years is enough to play through the past. It’s time to decide the future.”
-A thing you can’t pay David Hayter to say on Cameo because it’s too long and crosses the line into “actual voice acting”. I still like it though.

I’ve been known to say this. But Chip and Ironicus’ LP of MGS2 was the reason I got into LP and started my own LPs. I probably would have never joined this place or SA if it weren’t for them.

This truly feels like the end of an era. But it’s 2:30 am now, I have to go to sleep.

This is good. Isn’t it?

You’re pretty good.

Wow. What a journey, so many years. Knowing there’ll never be another Chip & Ironicus Metal Gear LP is like accepting there’ll never be another proper Metal Gear game all over again, thanks for all the years of great content Chip and Ironicus (and VB and SnarkCookie).

Every LP ends when it’s time is up. Live, Chip.

Thanks for all the quality videos over the years guys. You’re great.

I’m so happy to see the You Testament LP making a brief cameo in the end. RIP Hank and Josiah.

What a wonderful thing.

While I didn’t join the journey until the last leg, I’m glad I could see it off.

And here’s the Awkward Zombie website so you can check out all the other MGS comics I didn’t share.

I forgot to post it here but I ran into one of the stars of MGS5 last year

They were almost as old as Codetalker

Thanks for all these years, Chip and Ironicus.

…so, what would be the MGS QAnon-Truther version of “Where We Go One, We Go All”?

Here’s to you.

Oof, all those numbers in the final video making me feel really old.

Thanks for the LP! And all the other MGS LPs! They were all obviously an absolutely monumental effort, but it all really paid off.

One of my favorite “theories” was that this game was actually Metal Gear Solid “V” for Venom, and then Kojima was going to put out Metal Gear Solid 5, which would be about what Big Boss was doing.

Also; Chip and Ironicus, I don’t know if you’re still reading this thread, but I want you to know that…

You got me. I’m ready to admit it. I thought Mission J. Frog was a real thing in MGS3. For years!

All I can really say in my defence is that it was a pretty good edit. (And that I’ve never been able to play MGS3 myself because it wasn’t released on PC.)

That could have happened. Ideally as a DLC, more plausibly as a pachinko machine.

Looks like the two are back to finish Mario Odyssey.
