Cyrille’s a healer now, which means the team’s strategy is going to have to change a little now that we’re not relying on boomerang damage. But that also means surviving through the Kidnapper’s Cave is just a little easier since Deirdre isn’t the only one patching everyone’s wounds now. Up to a point. Because a certain robber is back and tougher than ever. We’ll… need to keep thinking about our team’s strategy.

Wow dang, did you hear about that there Fire Emblem getting a new entry? It’s true! They’re calling it Fortune’s Weave, and all the cool kids are playing it! I’m not doing a full stream playthrough of this one because I want to play it on my own, but I did show off the beginning of Theodora’s storyline. In a very abbreviated version of a typical FE story, Theodora finds herself in the midst of a succession crisis. With her father assassinated and a debilitating injury preventing her from completing the ritual that would make her queen, she must seek a quick way to restore her power before her terrible brother takes over and exiles her. And I have to emphasize that these are just her backstory chapters.

We’re most of the way through the Crypt, and all that’s left is to discover just what’s lying at the end. Which, uh, maybe isn’t the most pleasant origin stories. After that, though, we’ve still got two Javis boys to deal with and there’s more to Uncanny Valley than just a few treasure chests to open.

Last time, we didn’t have a lot of success taking on Robin 'Ood. But you know what they say: if at first you don’t succeed, grind and try again. And with Cyrille’s new ability to lower enemy defense, we can give the 'Ood crew a taste of their own medicine and take them out a little quicker.

Hey, so you know how we ended off last time with Lady Vega announcing that she was going to bring the lost continent of Mu back? Well, we’re not dealing with that for most of the day. Instead, we’ll be doing sidequests. Am I enthused about this? Well, no, but these people need help with… like… buying a painting. Or quizzes.

Today, we’re wrapping up finale prep. There’s stuff left over in Noel’s Sanctuary that we still need to pick up, and some critters to find around the world. And when all that’s done, it’s off to Mt. Sappho! Juuust after we make out in front of a slime.

God(dess) has told us to go find orbs, so we’re on a mission to do just that with our new boat! And with Murdag practicing a new vocation, we’ll have a hard-hitter in no time! Of course, finding what we’re looking for requires more than just muscle. Muscle is for all the enemies we have to fight when traveling.

Vega has awakened Mu, and now the continent looms over the rest of the world. What’s more, Vega has named herself Emperor of the new world and has extended an offer for the best of humanity to join her. Naturally, everybody’s now getting into petty squabbles over who deserves to survive. So, with the end of the world approaching, Geo gets some encouragement from his friends and heads off to stop Vega before she brings the world to ruin.

Geo ascends the stairs and finally meets Vega face to face. Naturally she has a monologue and a job offering, but Geo isn’t having any of it. So, there’s only one course of action we can take: kill Le Mu, the supposed god of EM waves.

The crew reaches the top of Mt. Sappho. While they hope to resolve things peacefully, it seems Queen Verena is itching for a fight. And, more worrying, it seems that Javis is more intent on changing the world than Verena is. But as long as Melody, Allison, Claire and Jodie work together, then surely there’s no surprise they can’t overcome.

Orb quest has still yielded no orbs, but the crew continues on regardless. At the very least, we manage to nab that ultimate key today, which should give us access to a lot more places. But more importantly, we come across the village of Mur. Although it’s a tiny little town, they have something of great interest to Deirdre. Some time ago, a man they call Peredvizhnik came to town, but his true identity is someone all too familiar to the hero.

After his first adventure, Django’s home should have been freed from the Undeadening curse that had befallen the world. However, San Miguel still suffers under the influence of a dark power. Django and Master Otenko return to figure out how to free the village, but they run into some unexpected trouble. Like, conceptually, nobody thought a vampire could do that.
