Streaming in the Game Of - Variety Streaming to Completion (Probably)

Hey, you know how this game has mechs? Well now that we’re forty-something hours into the game, let’s finally get our license for them! If we want to get ourselves into a Skell, we’ll need to pass a test pertaining to every faction in BLADE. And considering we’ve been dabbling in every one already, that shouldn’t be too tough for us.

The Rhythm Rogues continue their way through Maruki’s Palace, and today they’ll be getting an evaluation. Palace security has set up some multiple choice questions, and they do have correct answers. If the group wants to pass with minimal hassle, they’ll need to think like Maruki does.

We’ve reached the end of Maruki’s super-good palace that’ll save everyone, and he seems to think his plan will help everyone reach Nirvana. Probably more metaphorically outside of his brain world, but nonetheless he is quite confident. But the Phantom Thieves still seek to defy the world he’s aiming for, so now we wait for the day of his appointment.

This is Anthology of the Killer, a series of stories about local zine-maker BB in a malleable world where killers are in vogue and you can’t walk three feet without tripping over some guy with a knife. Today we tackle the stories Voice of the Killer, Hands of the Killer and Drool of the Killer. BB has to deal with her terrible telemarketer job, forging through the labyrinths below her apartment building, and being strangely drawn to the local swimming pool that goes by the name TAMMY.

On today’s episode of Anthology of the Killer, we observe Eyes of the Killer and Flesh of the Killer. In Eyes of the Killer, BB participates in her local theater. The show mostly sucks, but how can BB leave before she finds out the reason for the death of her character, Potsy the mop girl? In Flesh of the Killer, BB and her friends from across the art community sneak into a museum. There’s an exhibit for moral art just there for viewing sneakily in the off-hours. There’s also something hanging out and painting right there in the exhibit, which would have been nice to know beforehand.

It’s been a very, very long road, but the Rhythm Rogues are ready to give their answer to the last guy standing in their way. As nice as Maruki’s world seems, they refuse to live in a world where they can’t learn and grow from their pain. Of course, if Maruki was going to be swayed by intentions, we wouldn’t need to steal his heart in the first place.

Next up on Anthology of the Killer, we’ve got Blood of the Killer and Ears of the Killer. In Blood of the Killer, BB is sent to check out a fellow zine artist after a bit of radio silence. But there seems to be a conspiracy going on in her town, which might exist entirely on the assumption of a completely different conspiracy. In Ears of the Killer, BB has been kept awake by a rude upstairs neighbor who seems to have employed an entire band to play in the middle of the night. Then she starts a career in music! Yes, that suddenly!

In what I can only assume is the year 2026, vampire-like entities called Immortals have plunged the world into desolation. Humans could face extinction, but thankfully there are those who hunt Immortals. A young boy named Django is one of those hunters. Armed with the Gun del Sol and a cool scarf from his presumably-dead dad, Django follows the guidance of Master Otenko and sets out for the hideout of the Count.

We’re back on Mira, and this time we’ve got a whole party of Skells to take out into the world. Since we’re between chapters, that means we can reacquaint ourselves with the game with some sidequests. Today, we teach a woman not to judge on prejudice or the dumb rumors spread by her terrible friend.

Hopefully you’re ready to meet that special someone in Heart of the Killer! BB’s got a job to stay at a strange resort and fill out numerous surveys. To what end? It’s… really hard to tell, actually. And every day, that Dial-a-Boy sits there smugly, its purpose unknown and probably insidious.

Hot off the heels of an Anthology of the Killer stream, it’s time to return to Boktai and learn that Django has an evil recolor. We need to be wary of this Dark Boy, but while we’re at it we should also be wary of Dark Loans, Undeadening, and failing to remember knocking.

We’ve got quite a bit of ground to cover in this second map. There are two Immortals guarding the path forward, but before we tackle either one of them, it would be a good idea to see what’s in the mini dungeons.

Picking up where we left off last time, Julia investigates a cult! Other than that, though, there’s also other important business as well. Like figuring out how to make underwear for the Ma-non! And solving a kidnapping! Wait, that last one actually is important.

One more story remains: Face of the Killer. BB and her friends are graduating in pretty much the only way you can when the entire campus faculty is dead: picking up whatever diplomas they can get their hands on and leaving. But before they begin their careers/the rest of their lives, Ray suggests they go to whatever party happens to be available. How bad of an idea is that? Oh, you’ll know soon enough.

The way forward is blocked by two Immortals, one in an iceburg and one in a volcano. And all the while, Sabata is hounding us with his general edginess and his ability to activate bosses. For a guy who isn’t actually an Immortal, he’s sure an eternal pain in the rear.

Nadine and her friends are… not ready for Halloween. All three of them forgot their costumes at home, but before Clara can drive back to get them, Nadine uncovers a mysterious card containing a strange wizard. The good news is that everyone’s ready for Halloween. The bad news is that they’re trapped in some kind of spooky zone, which means Nadine has to find and defeat the enigmatic Jack o’ Diamonds if she wants to be home for a proper Halloween celebration.

We’ve nearly wrapped up with things to do in New LA for now, but there are still some pressing issues that need to be addressed. Like setting some guy up on a date, or dealing with some terrifying creatures that have nested in the water treatment plant. Er, wait… what was that last one?

In another short Boktai stream, we explore some more mini dungeons. In particular, Django must navigate the Delusion Forest to find the Solflower, the only item with the magical potency that Otenko can use to reach Sol City.

With the Solflower in their possession, Otenko takes Django to Sol City. What lurks within these ancient ruins? Well, we already know Sabata’s up here, but apparently a ton of petrifying beasts also built a nest there too.

Dang, is it Street Fighter season already? Well it has been for a few weeks, but Crimson Viper is the most recent addition to six’s roster. Which means we can meet her in world tour! And it seems she does not think highly of us!
