I recently started making pizza myself, anyone want to share a good pizza sause recipe? These pizza crimes must end.
I just use one of like the mid-range spaghetti sauces from the store lol. Not the pizza sauce! Store-bought pizza sauce is always just like, tomato paste, whereas the Wegmans store-brand spaghetti sauces are actually really good.
My family would occasionally make pizzas and I recall that we used spaghetti sauce as well.
If youâre looking for a non tomato based sauce, try making your own pesto! Itâs pretty easy and nice for them there fancy pizzas. Usually just get store bought if Iâm going tomato as well lol.
I havenât made this specifically (I tend to just use a jar of Marinara), but Chef John hasnât steered me wrong yet.
The San Marzano tomatoes are 100% the key though.

Does anyone watch the pizza show on YouTube?
The episode I watched today featured the âpizza capital of the worldâ a town of 9000 people with something like 21 pizza shops.
The entire show is a pretty good watch. Itâs made by first we feast, the same people who do hot ones and food grails.
