What did the Prince even do to deserve being dunked on by basically every citizen of his country? Do they really victim blame that much, or was it his singing?
Yeah, I’m kinda curious if the other cities we travel too will have a different opinion of the prince? BlueCat seems to be filled with pirate/seafaring types, so maybe they’re just not the type to take pity on the Prince?
As an aside, I love how our Prince has the most generic of faces anime wise, yet he has all these ladies falling head over heels for him on sight!

I still like cornet’s sad little song a lot even if you guys aren’t a fan; it helped me few times growing up and I sang it to myself to get out of bad times ocasionally. I’m glad at least one of you also genuinely loves this stupid villain song it’s great.

Oh don’t worry, although Coronet’s sad song isn’t my favourite there’s still a charm to it! Overall Rhapsody is a very charming game, I can easily see why both yourself and Genghis have a soft spot for it. I’m really excited to see where the rest of the game goes.
As an aside, I think one of the main reasons why Genghis was so excited to show me this game was because she knows I’d love the songs. One of my hobbies is collecting bad/weird animated films (And then making my friends watch these bad/weird animated films). I’ve bought films based entirely on clips of their songs, the cheesier the better! Here’s one of favourites:

Tarzan of the Apes, GoldenFilms (1999)
A lot of the songs in Rhapsody remind me of the songs from my beloved 90s animated movies. I’m always excited to have a song pop up.This episode was especially great because I love villain songs where the villain gets to expose about just what a bad dude/dudette they are.
I imagine the game devs had a lot of fun with animating this song, I feel like a lot of love and care went into this one. Honestly my favourite part is probably the kitties going nuts, I bet whoever put that into the game definitely owned cats at some point (Any cat I’ve ever owned has made a habit out of doing a high speed race around the house at least once per week).
I definitely put this song as one of the most enjoyable ones of the game so far, lyric and animation wise! We have another song coming up in a few episodes and it doesn’t compare animation wise, though I laughed quite a bit at the absurdity of the song/timing of it in the game. Look forward to that one in a few weeks!

I’ve been waiting for a villain song and it absolutely didn’t disappoint.
I’d assumed that Marjoly calling Ferdinand “Ferdinando” was intentional. She seems like she’d screw up his name even when vying for his love. I’ll admit I did double take, though.

Ha! That’d actually be pretty clever if that’s the intent! I kinda hope that’s the reason now, that’d really hit home how she knows absolutely nothing about him other than he has a pretty face. I mean at least Cornet knows his name… we have no idea if she knows anything else about him but baby steps!

We have a song in this one, but there won’t be a bonus video. This particular song only lasts 30 seconds or so before it starts looping, so we’ve simply edited out our commentary up until the song starts repeating itself. Don’t let the length of the song fool you though, it’s short but spectacular all the same!
