So, just a heads-up
I’m having some technical concerns getting Episode 12 put together and finished off. I’m going to try and get them resolved, but in the event that Ep12 isn’t posted tomorrow, just know that I’m working on it and will get it uploaded as soon as possible.

I’m fairly certain at this point that I know what was causing the crash in my editing software, but I’m not sure what’s making it do the thing that’s causing the crash. I’m going to keep checking over the next week and I’ll try to have a double update on the 12th to make up for it (and also keep us on track).
As a woodworker I appreciate the importance of keeping your tools sharp in this game …

DOUBLE UPDATE DAY
The first update of the day will be delivered right now, and the other update will be put up later tonight so you have time to watch both.
It’s time to get after Zorah Magdaros and descend down below the Coral Highlands to the Rotten Vale. What kind of new challenges await us there?
It’s noon as of this post, the next part of today’s set of updates should be up around 7 or 8 PM.

Two updates and three monsters chumped. Switch Axe is Powerful.
The rules of switch axe:
- Come in swinging.
- Build up power.
- Attach self to monster
- EXPLODE REPEATEDLY
There’s more to it, but you gotta admit it makes a good impression! That’s the big reason I picked up the weapon, but there’s other reasons I main it. Such as, which you see when fighting Radobaan, sword mode does not bounce!
Yeah gotta say, switch axe seems very cool. TAKE MY BULLET STORM YOU CHUMP OF A MONSTER!
It’s a little bit later in the day than usual but hey, that doesn’t matter because it’s UPDATE DAY
We have to get to the bottom of the Rotten Vale so we can catch up with Zorah Magdaros, but nothing’s ever that simple in the life of a hunter.
Also, I’m at a point now where I’m ready to announce that on Saturday, May 26th at 8 PM Eastern, I’ll be posting some room info in here to get the fancy new LP Squad going! Anyone who is reading the thread can join, and from that Saturday, I’ll be ramping up multiplayer in anticipation for high rank.
Thank you all for sticking with the thread through the rough patches. I’m still working on getting all of the episodes put up on Twitch, and hopefully next weekend I’ll be able to get that caught up.

I gotta say, after Legiana and Girros, it’s quite interesting to see a monster who just generally looks absolutely pissed off at your continued existence. Also that battle music is really great, adds a great air of menace and tension to an already threatening looking monster.

After Paolumu, I gotta say that Odogaron is my favorite monster in MHW. The bleeding mechanic is kinda… not great when you don’t have anything to cure it, but the high speed of the fights is a lot of fun.

There were some real nice moves with the Great Sword there! It can be a bit of a tricky beastie with the slower weapons. Odogaron was probably the first monster that I properly used exhaustion tactics on in World. Me (Hunting Horn) and my hunting buddy (Gunlance) got destroyed by it on the first attempt and put us off the next attempt for a week! After that though we’ve had a blast with it, blunt weapons really help with slowing it down. We now call him Clifford.

There’s something on the horizon and it’s closing fast! Could it be? It’s UPDATE DAY
So full disclosure, I had to try really hard to make Rathalos seem threatening in the Episode Preview last week but let me tell you, it was a Herculean labor and you’ll see why in this video.
Also, in my second of two Herculean Labors, I recorded a showcase for Charge Blade and I did it with NO HUD. Nevermind that a lot of people play without the HUD, I did it and I am proud of that.
Also, this is your LAST REMINDER that TONIGHT AT 6 PM EASTERN TIME (10 PM GMT) we’ll be setting up the Thread Squad! I’ll post room info at around 5:45 PM, and will be switching to the squad session at 6:10, so if you want in, don’t be late! This squad is PS4 exclusive, so my apologies in advance to those of you who play on Xbox One.
