Ugh. DiZ. Because this franchise really needed another mysterious dude who rambles about darkness and light.

Man, they really nerfed the Riku Replica fight for the remake. Or maybe Card Duels are just that overpowered.

I can’t believe that there’s actually a canon explanation for why everyone wears the black coats.

Thanks for the LP. Your commentary made this unfortunately mediocre game quite enjoyable. Looking forward to the Bouncer LP.

ā€œI SMELL YOU ANSEMā€ is maybe the funniest line in the game.

The second fight against Clone Riku is way harder in the GBA version mainly because of not having card duels, but also because it’s really hard to tell which Riku you are once you activate dark mode. Even in the GBA version Ansem is easier than Second Riku.

So, fun fact: you could do link battles in the GBA version where you could fight another person and they could use their deck. Ansem’s enemy card hides your sleights as you saw in the video, but in single player that card is completely useless. It’s double useless in the PS2 version because there is no multiplayer.

This is also why that one dude from KH1 shows up as just a floating robe. It makes you invisible to the eyes and nose, but not…the robe. It only works when the hood is up though, I guess?

Also at least they explain who DiZ is next game…even if that explanation makes so little sense that you need an entire other game to explain it…and it makes every interaction with him in this game hilarious.

But yeah, this was a rad as hell LP, thanks for posting Future Friend. I’m excited for The Bouncer, I’m assuming we’ll get a playthrough of each character in that one? Also is it too early to point out that the main protag in The Bouncer is literally just Sora?

I also think GBA Riku hit a lot harder and you couldn’t heal. Plus the twilight town deck was really bad

this lp is done @moderators put this shit behind lock and key and let no one speak of it again
