Hello, I’ll be using this thread as my creative repository, since I do a lot of different creative-type things.
FICTION
I occasionally write fiction. My biggest project so far has been a novella called “The Ring of Void” that you can get for pay-what-you-want (including FREE) as an e-book on Itch.io or in print on Amazon.
The book is a compilation of non-chronological vignettes that follow the adventures of a ninja psychopomp and his demonic corgi sidekick as they hunt various spirits that escaped the afterlife. Content warning: contains some very violent ghosts that would probably be rated M, but no excessively graphic depictions.
I don’t get to do much game-related projects in my spare time, but that might change in the future. For now, my biggest claim to 5 minutes of online fame is the DOOM (2016) SnapMap called “Hot Potato: Thy Spud Consumed”:
A monthly fighting game podcast aimed at newbies, aspirants, and lapsed fighters! The first episode deals with how to get into the genre and how to get your friends into the genre.
That’s it for now. I’ll add more stuff to this thread as I get around to doing it. I have some articles pending and have been messing around with Game Maker, so maybe that in the coming months?
Here’s a new thing I’m doing with my friend SixTwoSixFour. A monthly fighting game podcast aimed at newbies, aspirants, and lapsed fighters! The first episode deals with how to get into the genre and how to get your friends into the genre.
So not sure how much people enjoy game prototypes, but I’ve been working on and off on a Game Maker shmup with a modular weapon system. All placeholder graphics, but I finally have the ship functionality done:
I’ve been trying to learn RPG Maker MV the past week or so. I’ve made a short 10-20 minute item-hunt game called Sincerepity. You can find out more about it on the itch.io page. It’s free, since I consider it a prototype-level game.
