The Deadliest Summer Vacation a Saturday Morning Anime Can Provide – Let’s Play Mega Man Battle Network 2

Part 20: Unlimited Crime

Wait, it’s not the end of the game? Who could have predicted that FreezeMan wouldn’t be the end of this. Other than anybody who’s at least vaguely aware of how narratives work. Anyway, Gospel’s been sending out wave after wave of criminal on to the internet. Chaud and ProtoMan can barely keep up with the heavy hitters, but the little guys are slipping through the cracks even as that duo takes out bosses. So naturally, it’s up to Lan and MegaMan to investigate what’s going on and figure out where Gospel is based before the net is overwhelmed by villains.

Part 21: Path of Radiation

Kotobuki is in big trouble. In that there’s a server farm in an apartment complex that’s irradiating the city around it and warping the fabric of reality around the building. And while I’m pretty sure that’s not how radiation typically works, the fact of the matter is that Lan and MegaMan have to reach the top before it’s too late. Gospel’s leader has made sure reaching him won’t be easy, but if Lan can stop one terrorist organization (twice) then surely this is something surmountable too.

Part 22: Taking on Gospel

Lan’s reached the top of Gospel’s hideout, and now all that remains is their… unique-looking leader. But if defeating them isn’t an instantaneous deal, then Lan has quite a bit of radiation to worry about. Things are already looking bad in that regard, but Gospel’s leader has no plans to slow down its increase. Can Lan, an 11 year old child, hold out against an increasingly irradiated room as MegaMan faces off against the SuperNavi? Hopefully so, otherwise this would be a pretty grim ending.

You know, I can’t believe Solid Snake never thought to get through that microwave corridor with the power of friendship when a group of 11 year olds figured it out in no time flat.

See, that’s where the disadvantage of setting your dad on fire comes in. Lan’s got that dad advice that Snake simply doesn’t have access to. That, and a decent relationship with his brother.

Bonus Part 1: SSS Tricky License

Lan and MegaMan have defeated Gospel, so what else could there be to do in this summer vacation? If you said ‘Lan’s homework,’ then you’d be incredibly wrong! No, there seems to be some WWW remnants deep within the Undernet, which means we have to disband the organization’s attempt to reform again! Unfortunately, we’re no allowed that far into their space without first getting the SSS License. Which means we gotta get that one and its predecessor! Ohhhhh boy…
