We’re past the first real wall in this game! I wonder how quickly we’ll run into the next one. Also, we find the town with the best gimmick in the game.

This is it. This is probably the worst part of the game. After this, it’s all smooth sailing.

Well, that sure happened! It’s time to get our plot coupons. There’s four pieces of Zenithian Equipment, and we’re gunning for the helm first. All we have to do is make a monarch laugh. If only we knew a comedian . . .

Oh my God there have been so many updates while the site was down. I don’t want to summarize this many episodes. Watch them or don’t, whatever, I’m not a cop.

This week might not be as eventful as the other updates. We’re about to tackle the southern continent, but we’re a little behind on levels. On the plus side, this means I get to show off both the next level of metal slimes, and the best way to hunt them!

It’s time to finally progress the plot again! We have access to the southern continent, as well as the item we need to infiltrate the monsters’ stronghold. But what awaits us there? And are you ready to see definitely not Sephiroth again?

yes i know psaro predates sephiroth but psaro didn’t look like sephiroth until after sephiroth shut up

This week, we’re going back to the mines to take down what appears to be the final boss. Sure, Psaro is the more active one, but this is the guy he’s been trying to resurrect the entire game. So once we take him down, we’re done, right?

Last time, we took down the guy in charge of all the monsters, so I guess this is the post game? Well, unless the game gives us a massive plot hook. And I guess there are those areas on the world map we haven’t visited yet. If only we had a way to reach them. . .

With our final mode of transportation unlocked, it’s time to visit those last unexplored parts of the map! Finally, we will see what that X has been marking for so long.

This week, we somehow come across the most shocking part of the game as far as Fefnir is concerned. She is shook for most of the video. It’s not really that big of a deal, honestly.

We also get one step closer to Zenithia by exploring that last grey patch on the map.

We’re rapidly closing in on the endgame for DQIV. There’s just one dungeon between us and the land of Zenithia! But first, you’ll hopefully have the patience for one more grinding session.

A short transitional episode this week; we make our way from Heaven to Hell in a surprisingly straightforward manner.

The barrier to Psaro’s fortress is protected by four minibosses. Thankfully, each has some sort of gimmick so we don’t get bor- Oh? One of them is just the actual guy responsible for everything? And we just kill him and move on? . . . OK then!

It’s time for the final showdown with Psaro. Even though we’ve removed the true root of the conflict, there’s no way to talk Psaro down. Our only option is to fight.

We have hit the postgame! We start by finishing up Hoffman’s Pioneer Town, but then we have to prepare for the real postgame content: The Fungeon!

Welcome to the Fungeon! We have a difficult dungeon ahead of us, with a very difficult boss fight to wrap things up. Whatever we’re unlocking by doing all of this, it better be worth it.

Now that the Fungeon is wrapped up, it’s time to earn our reward! We finally reach the more controversial part of the new content for this remake as we claim our flower from the Yggdrasil tree.
