that might be it. part of it is that in most games i play, i’m always looking at the wikis, but for some reason with this one, reading about future events makes me really anxious about preparing for them
If you’re doing Skull cave dives,it helps to make a huge stack of mega bombs, they’re really easy to craft because they’re just one each of the essences and 4 gold ore. Which at this point in the game you tend to be swimming in way more gold than you’ll ever need.
I cannot find a Rare Disc, it’s the only thing I have left for the museum. Does anyone have any farming tips for this specific artifact?
i think that’s one that you have to go fishing for. : /
The Rare Disc is an Artifact that can be found by digging sand tiles in the Mines, as a drop from monsters, or from fishing treasure chests—. from the wiki page.
Grass is a pain during winter. I love that the game gives you the dungeon so you don’t just skip winter.
winter sucks until you get the greenhouse. and it’s the only time when i modify all of my main farming items except for the hoe. But like I said before, I’m having a very hard time finding iridium in the skull caves. They virtually give me nothing the majority of the time that I go into them.
Still looking for that freakin’ Green Toy, too.
I’ve shipped every item, got all the minerals, I just need two.more.artifacts.
I did it. I completed the museum. Turns out the Rare Disc wasn’t the last thing I needed. I forgot to donate a Calcite (which I got very easily by breaking like 15 geodes)
Winter can be boring, but at least it has my favorite track in the game.
My hard drive recently died and took all my steam games’ saves with it. Today I get Stardew Valley set back up, laboriously tracked down and installed my favorite mods, and started a new game.
I found an Ancient Seed and a Dinosaur Egg on Day 1.
This is a good omen.
120 hours played, according to steam.
Now I just need the two hidden achievements (I know how terrible they are), the Joja route achievement, and the “beat the prairie king” achievement.
i’m incredibly jealous right now
I’ve only just started the game, but I think you are correct. I finally got her to be my girlfriend in my save file. I haven’t been looking at wikis, so I had to learn the hard way what she likes.
She turned up her nose at a Petrified Slime!
I rewatched ProJared’s review, and he says something to the order of “I was ready to be totally gay this playthrough, but… all the guys suck.” And yeah, the dude pickings are kind of lame. I’m sort of fascinated by Elliot, but… for now, Haley has my heart.
(the Green Acres theme plays in the distance)
I still can’t tell the difference between Alex and Sam. I know that one’s a jock and the other is skater Goku but they are just too similar personality wise.
I have two files right now [one when the game came out and then one with the 1.1 patch] and in my first file, I married Elliot because reasons. Then I married Leah in my other profile.
I have to make a third profile to do the Joja achievement. And then promptly hate myself for doing it.
Sebastian is the best boy. He’s nice and he’s cute.
When the multiplayer comes out I am 100% ready to jam on some radishes with a bud if anyone’s interested
I’m still not entirely sure what the multiplayer entails. Do you both just live on the same farm, but otherwise play as normal? So one of you can go nuts in the mines all day and the other spends the entire day clearing out the farm? A little part of me is hoping that there’s a little something more to co-op.
Also hoping that family life post-marriage is fleshed out/polished a little bit. Especially Shane’s content. WHOO BOY, DON’T GET ME STARTED.
I’m incredibly angry that his “marriage space” in your home has a giant keg and beer cans and spilled beer and filthy footprints all over the place. His romantic events cover him getting alcohol poisoning, going to therapy, and correcting Marnie when she suggests that all he does is drink; he’s changed to sparkling water!
I can understand him having a drink or two. That’s fine. But the fact that his space is a disheveled mess with a ton of alcohol negates all of the growth that his events gave him. And it REALLY BUGS ME. I know there’s a mod to change it, but…uuuguhhghguguhgugughughuh.
Phew.
OH ALSO! Is there a way to buy seeds in Winter after getting the greenhouse? I finally got it…but I can’t…get seeds in Winter to use it? I know I’m probably supposed to use a seed maker and make my own dang seeds, but I figured I’d ask anyway.
[warps into your farm first thing in the morning and steals all of your Starfruit crop]
[hoes LOLNUB into a fresh patch of land before warping out]
In all seriousness, I’m confident that it will be fun and interesting, but I’d like to see two-player Prairie King implemented. It’s so much more fun with Abi.
Re: Winter seeds, don’t think so, unless you have access to the shop in the desert. Just need to plan ahead.
yeah, what gordonzilla said. there’s seeds in the desert but you might also be able to get some from the traveling cart? it would be nice if Pierre was able to sell some seeds a few days before spring so you can plan ahead. that could be a good change, too.
TBH, i am not the hugest fan of shane…so. >.>
